Winners of Iran Independent Short filmfest awarded

The 8th edition of Independent Short Film Festival has been wrapped up in Tehran.

At the closing ceremony of the festival, winners of the various sections were announced.

Out of all the short films submitted to the secretariat of the event, 7 were selected by the jury members to be awarded.

Iranian short film ‘Animal’ led other films, winning four awards at different competition sections.

It depicts the story of a man who plans to illegally cross the border, so he hunts a ram and decides to escape disguised as the animal.

The eighth edition of Independent Short Film Festival also introduced the best film in a foreign language as well as Iranian movies.

This edition of the event, started on August 27, and wrapped up on September 6, 2017.
